Soft Tissue Surgery
All of our Veterinarian Surgeons perform a range of soft tissue surgical procedures, including: desexing procedures, caesareans, biopsies, wound stitch ups, foreign body removals and more!
If your pet requires a surgical procedure they will also have a dedicated and trained Veterinary Nurse monitoring their anaesthetic throughout the procedure and monitoring them during recovery to make sure the process is as smooth as possible for them. In addition to a Veterinary Nurse, your pet will be connected to varies machines that monitor their blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate and quality, blood oxygen levels and temperature. To minimise the risk of your pet experiencing hypothermia while under anaesthetic or while in recovery following their procedure, heating blankets are provided.
After you pet has had surgery they are monitored throughout the day until it is time for them to go home. Monitoring throughout the day minimizes the risk of anaesthetic or drug reactions occurring as soon as the patient arrives home. Often these reactions will occur while they are still hospitalised and If that is the case we will often keep them with us for an extra night so we can continue monitoring (at no extra charge).
